I promised to share more about my apartment, didn't I? =D

Choosing a apartment isn't easy, but I guess what ranks top on my list, is being comfortable with the apartment itself as well as the surrounding.

That was pretty important because, I was going to stay for a quite a long while, and if the place doesn't give me a good vibe, I don't think I had the courage to fall asleep. It also helps that this place was one of the places recommended by the school, on top of which, it's about 10-15minutes walk to the MRT Station, and is very near to all the shopping attractions. (Or at least, that's because the same MRT track line can bring you to those shopping attractions, within 20 minutes!)

So, anyway, Ben & myself had made a trip down to Bangkok in mid February to check out the apartments which Ben have made a list of (Wonderful hubby actually did a week's worth of research and had contacted the personnel in charge to inform them of our visit!) as well as to visit some of the places which the school has provided.

We visited at least 4 different places before we settled on this place. The previous ones were all rejected because it was either too far away from the MRT Station, is around a very dark surrounding, doesn't oozes good vibe or because the rental fee is ++++, every single items in the room they wanted to charge a monthly rental fee.

Finally, we just felt really comfortable with my current apartment.

For security purposes, I'm not sharing the name of this place until I'm back in SG.

The place is lush and green, maintenance is carried out around the estate daily. There's security as well, and there's lift to every floor. There's about 5 units on every floor, and the facilities include infinity swimming pool, fitness room and a club house. I also like that, every room is fully furnished with a microwave, television, bed, wardrobe, study table and fridge.

Ben had helped requested for free wi-fi and cable TV for my room (it's actually chargeable) and now, my favourite channels are National Geography Wild for its deep sea fishes programme where they fish for the biggest, scariest fishes around. The Warner TV, which apparently plays FRIENDS and Big Bang Theory and occasionally some funny past year movies. Followed by Lotus Macau, which plays really classic movies like The bodyguard, Ghost, Rambo, Tango and Cash - all of which, have either Sylvester Stallone, Demi Moore OR Bruce Willis.

Is it weird that I actually enjoys those classic movies??

I do watch the Thai channels as well, on weekend nights only, as I am currently already hooked on one of their Lakorn (drama series).

Actually, I hate watching their local drama series - the female lead is always getting bullied by the male lead, but some how they are already married and slowly fall in love. While falling in love, they meet obstacles, which will lead to the male lead not trusting the female lead, and while the female lead is strong enough to fight against 2 strong men, she can't prevent herself from getting slapped by a lady vying for her husband's affection.

Oh, for goodness sake! Sometimes I really feel like taking over the villain's role and give the female lead a good bashing.

Okay, let's move on before I burst more blood vessels thinking about it.

Infinity pool with a jaccuzi corner, the pool is being clean twice a week. There's also a fitness room with treadmill and exercise equipment. I've been heading for my workouts on a regular basis!

So, this is the view to my Junior studio apartment once you come in through the door. That's my little foldable table which I bought for 299 baht from the Big C (Their local Giant). I use it as a dinner table.

Once you come in through the entrance of my apartment, on the left hand side, is the toilet.

When I was shopping for my necessities, I also had in mind, to shop for items that would make the place feel like home - so I decided to get plastic flowers to add some life to the toilet. HAHA!

My Mummy N was jokingly asking me the over day when she video called me from Singapore, whether or not was I feeling lonely. I introduce to her, my Owl and Reindeer.

Allow me a moment to rave about my bedsheets. When I was packing and making a list of what bring over from Singapore, bedsheets & quilt was of the utmost importance.  This set is Tencel sheets from Balmain Paris, at 800 threadcounts, it is so soft I always have a good sleep! Minus the slightly soft pillows - I'm too used to the ones we have back home in SG (from slumberland). Wanted to get those here, but I cannot remember which hardness was it.

This is the view from my bed, I have a bread bag from IKEA (see top yellow item above the microwave) where I store my bread and my snacks. It's a good investment! Actually, it's to be used to store bread on its own to keep it warm. Then, there's my pink laundry basket set, which has got wheels and a long pulling handle but I always end up carrying it instead because I am too tall. HAHA!

On the right picture, I have my plates and utensils from IKEA! I love those Flamingo Glasses!! I also bought the tray to store these and I also got myself a Tefal Electrical Kettle, it is an express model, so I can get hot boiling water within 5 minutes. In the rose tin is where I keep all my Milo and coffee satchels.

Please, if anyone is gonna visit me anytime soon, could you please buy me some individual satchels of Milo??? Pretty please?? The Milo powder here, taste damn weird. I'm not used to the taste. I cannot even tell you how weird it taste, because I don't know where to start!

There's a two door sliding wardrobe for usage. In case you're curious to know, No. I have yet to fill both sides full with clothes yet. *big grin*

This is normally the view from sitting on the bed. In case you're interested on what's showing on the telly; it's Armageddon, first released in 1998. Here, we have my pink fan (again), my stacks of plastic bags below the telly, and boxes of Coco Crunch AND a tub of Nutella. Heehee!

Next to the TV console is where the study table is! On normal weekdays (besides Tuesday when I have morning classes), I surf the nets, have breakfast at the same time, go for a run/swim, change for lunch and head to school. Alternatively, I study/do laundry/clean the apartment.

That pretty much sums up what I have to share about my humble abode!

I have a full day class tomorrow, and I can't wait to start the school week again! Wednesday's a public holiday here as well, and I think I should be heading out with my sis to around town!
