I'm sorry!
I'm so so sorry!
I was slightly distracted by the gorgeous pinkish colour of my rosette cookies as like you were, and my taste buds was reminsincing the taste of buttery cookies sandwiched with a creamy chocolatey hazelnut spread - and I just had to go and sneak two of these before returning to finish what I just about to start. To blog.
Nutella is a great love of mine.
I spread it on white loaf bread every morning for breakfast when I was still working. Sometimes having 2 pieces of bread with extra Nutella during teatime at 3pm, when I get a little hungry, and start ransacking my office's pantry for food.
It is also a great addition to the frosting to be used on cupcakes or as surprise centers, as layered cake's frostings etc.
I never really had the idea of sandwiching cookies together until I realised, there's still an unopened gigantic tub of Nutella sitting in the kitchen waiting to be used. One of the 2 tubs which I bought during those greedy late night NTUC shopping spree I've gone with Ben.
I think I was sold by the 20% MORE NUTELLA SPREAD logo. It's bad, it's like screaming right into my face that I can spread that 20% more Nutella all over my usual bread.
& by the time I discovered that 20% more, isn't any good, It's all too late. It's already been 20% spread all over my body mass. *smack forehead*
& Sandwiching the cookies together, was an idea I got from a friend, who made hers with jam. The rosette design is also a pretty sight isn't it?
I had so much fun piping it out. I used a small closed star tip nozzle, and they were perfect for piping these slightly bigger than a fifty cent coin cookies. Any bigger, and the swirls aren't as defined.
Enjoy the cookies with tea or hot chocolate. I prefer a hot cup of Milo with these as snacks. What about you?
Recipe for Butter cookies can be found here. Just remember to pipe similar sized cookies for sandwiching!
That's all of my baking adventures which I have to share for now. Up and coming would be updates on my study trip. I have no idea what lies ahead and how things will be like, but I would love to share in due time!
Till then!
