Greetings from Bangkok, Thailand!
*To be accompanied by a huge ass picture of me, sitting prettily *AHHEM* on one of the bench found scattered around my estate. I love my apartment estate!*
I hope you're all doing fine just like I am!
It's my 5th day here in Bangkok, and the reality of me living here on my own has not really hit me yet! I still have that "Oh, I feel like I'm on a holiday" mood...
Till now.
Ben just left for the airport, and I suddenly feel like once he's on the plane, I'll really be handling the small stuff on my own, like clearing the rubbish, carrying the laundry bag down and like sticking the Command hooks to the marble walls of the toilet so that I can hang my brushes and what not.
He has been the pillar of my support, constantly reminding me at every chance he has, for me to take care and be safe. To remember to top up my SIM card, ensure that I go out and have fun - to explore the malls and places of interests. He even bought me a Lonely Planet guide to Bangkok and highlighted the shopping malls in the maps, just so that when I am homesick, I can travel down to MBK to hear Singaporeans speaking. HAHA!
I guess I have the obligation to explore around and share some of the better places to eat at or shop at! ;)
On another note, please note that I'm all settled down already!
I have all that I need - besides Magic Clean wipe and dust mop; I tell you, the dust accumulation here is faster than the Tokyo's bullet trains. I think it's due to the air pollution here, it gets dusty really fast, and all that I do all day long, is wipe & mop, wipe & mop and then repeat process all over again.
Orientation for school is this coming Friday, and the itinerary goes like this:
- Collection of tool kit, uniform, food container and recipe
- Briefing on Rules and Regulations
- How to read class schedule
- How to wear the uniform
- School Tour
- Take photo
It's pretty interesting to include a photo taking session during the orientation!
I am pretty excited and scared at the same time; excited because I'm finally starting school and this is what I'm here for! & yet, scared because I don't know what lies before me, what to expect in a class etc. This isn't like going for a lecture during your tertiary school days and knowing that it's just pen and paper.
This is baking!! (HAHA! I just typed that with 'This is SPARTA', in mind).
I shall be crossing my fingers for an awesome class with even awesome classmates! Till then!
P.S
If you're a friend or someone just chancing upon my blog, please feel free to drop me a comment just to say Hi! =)
P.P.S
I cannot say this enough - I'm incredibly blessed baby, to have you. You're the best hubby anyone can ask for, and I'll take good care of myself for you. *kisses & hugs!*
